Who this Germany route is for
This route is for private homeowners and home-project buyers who have already chosen or bought building materials, furniture or both from suppliers in China. The orders may come from one supplier or several suppliers in Foshan, Lecong, Shunde, Alibaba, 1688 or other eligible Chinese locations. Eligible one-time private orders are also reviewed; a whole-house order or full container is not required.
Buildcargo is a China-based freight forwarder specializing in post-purchase logistics for overseas home projects. It takes over collection, package-level receiving records, packing review, consolidation, freight, import coordination and the agreed Germany handover. You keep your chosen suppliers. Buildcargo does not become the product seller, designer, installer or tax adviser unless a separate written service says so.
What happens before the cargo leaves China
Before suppliers send the goods, we confirm the receiving method—supplier delivery or agreed pickup—and the basic service scope and charges with you.
- Receive and record. Each supplier order receives its own reference. We record package count, labels, visible outer condition, obvious differences, final packed dimensions and gross weight. This is the standard package-level check. Factory-sealed packages stay closed by default; selected opening or product-level QC requires a separate written standard.
- Prepare packing and measurements. After receiving, Buildcargo decides with you whether factory packing can stay, needs reinforcement or should be replaced. Final packed data is used to combine orders and plan shared-container or full-container transport. Shenzhen storage is free for days 1–14 from the first batch's arrival; from day 15 it is RMB 100 per shipment per calendar day. Longer storage is agreed in writing. - Move ready cargo. Once you approve the measured formal quote and transport contract, ready, accepted cargo can enter Buildcargo's daily container-loading and dispatch arrangements. This does not mean a vessel sails every day or every order leaves the same day. Packing, documents, the confirmed booking and cutoff determine departure.
How import documents work for a private buyer
For Buildcargo's eligible EU duty-paid service, a private buyer does not need their own VAT number, does not issue a customs invoice and does not arrange the customs declaration alone. Suppliers provide the actual product names, materials, quantities, values and transaction documents; Buildcargo coordinates the packing list and customs process through its European operating arrangement. This service does not issue import or VAT documents in the household buyer's own name.
The written quote must say whether customs clearance, duties and VAT are included. Product material and intended use still matter: doors, stone, glass, electrical products, sanitary ware and furniture can require different classification or compliance review. From the European gateway to your home in Germany
The sea route may enter Europe through Rotterdam or Antwerp and move to Buildcargo's Düsseldorf-area warehouse before the Germany delivery, but this is not a fixed route for every shipment. The booked sailing, gateway, import arrangement, warehouse movement and final carrier are confirmed in the written plan. See the typical European operating path.
For eligible ocean shipments, allow about 45–55 days from receipt at our China warehouse, once the required shipment information and documents are ready, to the agreed residential handover point in Germany. This is a planning estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date; packing readiness, customs and delivery appointments can affect it. See the timing and update process.
If temporary storage in Germany is required, the first seven days are free. After that, storage is RMB 700 per shipment per seven-day period. Charging for a partial period is confirmed in writing before storage is arranged and is not assumed to be prorated. See the Düsseldorf-area warehouse record.
Before dispatch, Buildcargo reviews the German address, postcode, vehicle access and unloading plan with the local carrier. You confirm the receiving time and who will provide any forklift, tail lift or workers. Standard delivery ends at the agreed, vehicle-accessible outdoor handover point; carrying inside, stairs and installation require separate written confirmation. What the public European evidence proves
Buildcargo publishes the typical China-to-Europe operating path, photographs of its approximately 10,000 m² Düsseldorf-area warehouse and anonymized European delivery footage recorded in 2023. Each record keeps its own status. The Spain project is completed; the Italy page is used here as a documented project file. None of these records is presented as a completed customer shipment to Germany. A Germany quote still confirms the current route, import scope, postcode, access, storage and unloading plan.
What you receive before booking and payment
Start with your German postcode and one product photo, link or order screenshot. During normal China working hours, when the necessary shipment information is complete, an initial price usually takes about 30 minutes for shared-container cargo (LCL) or four hours for a full container (FCL). After warehouse measurement and packing review, you receive the formal written quote and transport contract to approve before shipment is arranged. They state the accepted cargo, route, customs and duty/VAT arrangement, residential handover point, included charges and separately agreed work. See the packing and formal-quote step.
For ocean shipments, freight is paid after the goods are loaded into the container. Before you transfer, the bill identifies the payee legal entity, receiving bank account and charges to be paid. RMB and USD bank transfers are supported, including foreign-currency receipts through our Hong Kong account. After funds arrive, we confirm receipt and provide a payment receipt.
